However, superseding all of this is our own mental preconceptions... you can force yourself to like or not like things. this is rather common with seafood: many people have this preconception about fish, and as long as they hold that preconception, all fish tastes the same, when in reality no fish taste the same. even salmon caught at different times of the year taste different! opposite of this, a lot of people hold this preconception about french cuisine being good, that they trick themselves into thinking some of the nastiest things people eat taste good, when frankly, theyre nasty ^_^ french cuisine is mostly just visual with nutrient proportions. it is not and never will be comfort food.
